And this is my business, Sturdy Socials and Design.

Working from my colourful home office in Nottinghamshire, I specialise in social media support, blog copywriting, curating newsletters and more.

There’s nothing I love more* than working with compassionate small business owners who have big dreams but not enough time in the day to get them done.

(Okay that might have been a teeny-tiny-lie. I also love dog walks, pub visits, stationery, nicnacs, good music, and getting through enough tea in one day to power a small village.)

My story

My son is the reason I get up in the morning. Mostly because I love building this business to make him proud and to give us both a life we love, but also the only very slightly more practical reason in that I have to make sure he gets up and gets to school on time! 

My step into self employed life wasn’t one I thought I’d ever have to take, which I’ll bet is a similar story to how you started your business too. But I don’t think it really matters why we get into our businesses in the first place. What matters is that we crack on, start creating, and keep going. And isn’t that just super?

If we think of all the hurdles we’ve overcome, and all of the things we’ve built from our brains so that we can make our lives better for ourselves, that’s pretty chuffing impressive. 

And frankly, we don’t celebrate that or ourselves enough. 

So now that’s what I help other business owners do. I give them more brain space to keep thinking up more cool things that they want to do, help them to talk about it, keep them consistent, and remind them that their big-scary dream is worth pursuing.

    I work with you, not just for you. That means you'll always know what I'm doing and why, you'll always have a say in how things shape up, and we'll always be building something that genuinely feels like yours.

    Because my goal isn't just making you great content (although I absolutely do do that). For me, a job well done is seeing you feeling confident, clear, and in control of how you show up, so that the marketing actually works, and you actually enjoy it.
